On this day in 1913 Kirsten made her debut at the Nationaltheatret in Oslo. She was 18 and not planning on pursuing a career in music. The role was Nuri in Eugen d'Alberts Tiefland. On the exact same day, on the same stage, 40 years later she made her official farwell performance.
